Utah State University Extension's Rural Online Initiative teaches remote work skills in Emery County

On March 31st, community members gathered at an ROI (Rural Online Initiative) Information Meeting in Huntington, Utah to learn about remote jobs and training opportunities. Program Specialist Jordan Leonard and previous student StacyAnn Maxwell were on hand to introduce courses designed to support job seekers find remote work, start freelance careers, and begin e-commerce ventures.
These flexible online trainings are part of Utah State University’s broader mission to empower rural Utah communities by equipping individuals with the skills needed for success in the digital economy. ROI’s focus is to build a vibrant future by connecting training with remote job opportunities.
